The Monastery of Santa Maria de Poblet is located within the region of Conca de Barbera, between the towns of Vimbodí, it belongs to the municipality, and Espluga of Francolí sheltered northern slopes of the mountains of Prades, in a beautiful setting and abundant sources which flow where the great forest of Poblet forest, lush and varied vegetation, which was one of many possessions of the monastery (since 1984 Natural Area of ​​National Interest) .
