Vall de Vinaixa Protected Natural Area

The Vall de Vinaixa is a Protected Natural Area with an undulating, hilly landscape. There are two sectors. The north, corresponding to the head of the Vinaixa valley, and the south, is located in the Tossal Rodó mountain range, halfway between Les Garrigues and La Conca de Barberà.

The interesting blend of agriculture and woodland makes it all the more diverse and is home to highly valued species of wildlife such as the Bonelli’s eagle.

The declaration of this area aims mainly at the conservation of the Bonelli’s eagle (Hieraeetus fasciatus).
